It was the beginning of September 2015 when Becky and Rob visited me to discuss their 2016 wedding. They enthusiastically talked about their families, burlap theme, ceremony, and photos they wanted. All the while I was sitting at the edge of the couch wanting to hear more and more about their wedding plans.
We all clicked and shared stories. And then before we knew it, it was August 20th, 2016 – their Wedding Day. And wow what a spectacular day it was. My assistant and I started photographing Becky and her bridesmaids getting ready and the energy in the air was contagious. I was giddy with excitement too.
When I saw her wedding dress and white cowboy boots I was in total awe. They looked awesome. Tell you a little secret. I was a little jealous, as I would love to wear white cowboy boots on my wedding day. But I know I wouldn’t look as great as Becky did. She was stunning. When her bridesmaids stood beside her in their dresses it was like a picture out of a wedding magazine. Pure Luxury. Simply stunning.
Then off we went to the groom’s parents place in the country. What a perfect spot for an outside wedding. The groom was looking sharp in his attire and the groomsmen looked prim-and-proper standing beside him. I couldn’t wait to see the whole wedding party together.
The ceremony was beautiful. And yes various people shed tears of joy. I also had watery eyes as I witnessed these two people hold hands and marry their best friend. And before we knew it, they sealed their love with a kiss. Voila. Mr. and Mrs. Porter walked down the aisle into a future of happiness together.
The wedding party then gathered up and drove to the Grey Roots Museum where we enjoyed posing in an old school house, under a wooden porch and up against an amazing barn. Everything was picture perfect.
Then they finished off the night eating an amazing dinner and dancing the night way. And let me tell you. This family loves to dance. They even did the Funky Chicken. Awesome.
A message from Becky:
“Thank you again for doing such and amazing job!!! The book is AMAZING and we absolutely LOVE all the photos we have gone through!! We are both very honored to have had you share in our day and so very thankful for all of the beautiful memories you captured for us.”
I cannot wait to photography Becky and Rob on their 1st Year Anniversary as Mr. and Mrs. Porter.
