You deserve beautiful photos of your children and fur-babies. AND you deserve to be in the photos. During Fall mini sessions, I preserve those tender moments between child, fur baby and you.
Believe me when I say, they grow up way to fast and you will find yourself wishing you had photos taken.
This is the only time I offer these sessions. And they book up fast.

These Fall Family Sessions are families with children of any age, families with pets & children or for families with only pets. All are welcome. We will get lots of photos of children and pets running around, showcasing their true personalities. Lots of hugs and laughter will be shared between all.
This year, Fall Mini Sessions will be held at Harrison Park.
Families, including children and pets feel comfortable and at ease with me. I help you pose (when needed), and then let you interact with each other so that we get those authentic moments.
This will be the last year I am offering fall mini sessions to the public…Next year they will only be offered to families in my Yearbook Club (message me if you want more info on this club 😉
FALL Mini Sessions
The Question that is on your mind…How Much?
This year we are doing things a tad different. This year we have a small session fee of $99 +hst that is due at time of booking. And then when you see your proofs, you choose 1 of 3 digital file packages.
Hehehe, why am I doing it this way? Firstly, I often get asked…I only want a few for my holiday card, can I only buy a couple. And now it’s that easy. And secondly, this is similar to how I price my full sessions….you pay a session fee and then when you see your proofs you pick a digital file package that suits your needs and desires (full sessions average $1000+). Plus, this way you pick what images that you love and want 🙂

Here are the digital file packages:
1) I cant’ decide, I want them all! (about 40ish digital files) = $595
2) I want my most favourites ones! (12 digital files) = $295 (most popular package)
3) I want a few for my holiday card! ( 2 digital files) = $99
Add ons: You can also get either 24 or 48 holiday cards from me. These are purchased at the same time as your session fee is paid. This way I know who wants holiday cards so that I can make sure they are processed and shipped right to you.
I also offer printing services so that you can decorate your home with beautiful professional prints, wall art & albums. You will have the opportunity to order via your online gallery.
All prices will be subject to HST. Please note that session is non-refundable. If it rains on the day of your session we will have your session on the Sunday right after your scheduled day. Same time and place 😉

Fall Mini’s
A shorter session designed for busy moms who want a few great photos of their family. These are also perfect for families who want to update their yearly photos.
Where: Harrison Park in Owen Sound (if this changes I will let you know)
When:
Saturday October 7th, 8:30am – 10:00 am (only 4 spots available) – not open yet…will only be open if Fall Colours pop early.
Saturday October 14th, 8:30am – 10:00 am (only 4 spots available)
Saturday October 21st, 8:30am – 10:00 am (only 4 spots available)
RAIN OR SHINE! There is a picnic area where we can do photos too if it rains ;). If it down pours, I will reschedule your session to a date that works for both of us 🙂

Will 20min be enough time?
You Betcha! I am gifted at getting lots of different shots, angles, expressions, etc. To do this, I have a few go to poses and then get lots of the ‘in-between moments’ that make you smile and heart pound. Plus, I have lots of tricks up my sleeve to get those authentic smiles from even the shy children. I was once extremely shy and understand working a shy youngster.
At the same time, I enlighten parents that I am capturing all moments, whether this includes smiles or tears, they all warm our hearts.
Also, please come already dressed, ate, and ready for photos. Hehehe this helps all of us to be on schedule.
When should we arrive? And where do we meet you?
I ask that families arrive at least 5 minutes earlier and wait at the Picnic Shelter. Most likely, I will be with another family but will come meet you at the time your session starts.
What happens if we are late?
Because this is a mini session event, I will have back to back sessions :). Thus, I ask that you try your hardest not to be late ;). If you do end up running behind schedule, we simple still have your session at the alloted time, but we just photograph during the remaining time that is left.
What are digital files (also called digital images)? And what’s the difference between web-sized digital files and high resolution digital files?
A digital file/image is an electronic version of a physical print. It allows you to store and see your photo on your computer, phone, iPad, etc. It is NOT a physical print thought. You can get different sizes of digital files; web-sized (low resolution) or printing (high resolution) digital files.
Web-sized digital files – these are perfect if you’re only wanting to share your photos on social media or keep them on your computer/phone. These CANNOT be printed as they are too small. They look great on your computer/phone BUT if you try printing them they will not look good. Most often, they will look ‘dotty’ or blurry.
High Resolution (printing) digital files – these are really big files. They are perfect if you want to do your own printing; at anytime and anyplace. You get full control of when and where you want to print your photos. You do not have to print thru Candra Schank Photography. Please do not take them to Walmart though. More times than not, your photos will not look the same as what you see on your computer. This is directly related to their printing system. I recommend Foto Art in Owen Sound. They have great customer service and great print products.
I am concerned about our wardrobe, what should we wear?
I want everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed in their own skin. Thus I tell families to dress in cloths that feel good. Hehe but try and stay in the same colour tones…you don’t have to be matchy-mathchy. I also recommend avoiding bold & bright patterns & colours. These tend to be very distracting.

My kids won’t sit still.
Hehe, almost kids run around for 90% of the session. And that’s fine with me. I love to take candid photos of them playing.
I also have plenty of tricks up my sleeve to get kids to sit still…and then I get my shot.
How long does it take you to edit the images?
I know you’re excited to see your photos. Thus I work hard to get you your proofs quickly. Within 7 days of your session you will receive a proofing gallery to view and pick your favourites. And then once you submit your choices, it takes me about 2 weeks to edit and deliver them to you via your online gallery.
Do I get a USB with all my photos?
I used to give USBs to my families. BUT, I found that sometimes the USB was corrupted or lost. Thus, now All photos are delivered to you in an online gallery. You then download them to your computer and/or phone. I recommend downloading them to multiple devices for safe keeping. You are also free to send your photo gallery to family and friends. Hehehe, I bet they will be excited to see them too. Galleries are only active for 30 days and then they are deleted off my network. If you would like a USB, they can be purchased for $50…and they come engraved 🙂
Do I have to buy prints & albums through you?
Nope! I completely understand that families want the digital files so that they can share them with friends & family AND get them printed wherever & whenever they want.
Hehe, but I also provide families access to my personal Print House so that they can order beautiful professional prints, wall art and albums for their home. This is an optional service and you are under no obligation to buy from me. Families simply wait for their online gallery and order from the comfort of their home.

Bamboo Folio Heirloom Boxes
Family Favourite! This is a beautiful heirloom wooden bamboo box. It contains 10-20 matted 5×7 prints. You can choose to frame these yourself, keep some in the keepsake box, and/or display them in the matching wooden photos stand. You can also upgrade the box from Bamboo to Timber Wood and add hand-torm edges to your photos.

Framed Canvas Wall Art
Yes, you read it right. They are framed! I love the polished and finished look of a
framed canvas. And I want you to have them too. Framed canvases are versatile
and look great in every home. All canvases are laminated to reduce fading.

Framed Print Wall Art
Okay, this is my favourite…and my clients’ favourite. Whether you’re looking for a modern or traditional feel, framed wall art easily achieves that. Simply by changing the colour or style of frame will complete the look you are going for. Personally, I think a simple white frame looks good anywhere, but I also offer black,grey, brown, and many more looks and styles.
Portraits are printed on fine art paper, mounted, laminated and presented behind
acrylic with a dust backing to seal the wall art. Instead of glass, I use acrylic as it’s light and won’t shatter. This is important in homes with active dogs, cats or even children as wall art can sometimes be knocked off the wall 😉

Fine Art MOUNTED OR Matted Prints
If you’re looking for individual prints, I offer luxury professional print packages. All prints are mounted on styrene (or matted) for a professional look and laminated so they don’t fade.
