Family Portraits Full Of Personality by Candra Schank Photography

Hey! Let’s go have some fun making memories at Grey Sauble Conservation Authority!
And that’s just what the Law family did.  They asked that they have a fun photoshoot that was full of candids.  And boy was I happy when they asked that.  Because that’s one of my favourite ways to photograph – capturing the moment as it happens.  Yes, we still did some fun traditional posed shots, but the majority of the photoshoot was like a walk in the park – you never know what someone will do next.
Excitingly, the Law’s brought Lily, their fun-loving black lab. Lily was definitely apart of their family as she was always apart of the photo, one-way-or another.  Involving your pet in your family portrait is a wonderful idea.
Fo one of the shots, I told them I was going to close my eyes and when I opened them, I wanted them to be in a different position and pose.  OH MY GOODNESS.  They sure did surprise me.  When I opened my eyes one girl was being held upside down by her mom and the other hanging over her dad’s shoulder.  CLICK!  Priceless.  The whole photoshoot was like this.  Everyone had lots of amazing energy and gave fun yet random poses.  This family’s personality definitely came out and was captured for all to see.
We are now thinking about creating a photo book to tell the tale of the Law family.  Such a great idea.
