ARE YOU A BUSY DOG MOM WHO OFTEN CAN’T FIND TIME TO GET PHOTOS DONE?
If so, then I think my Highlight Sessions are going to be perfect for you. I have streamlined them so that the whole process is easy and fun for you and your dog. These are different than my full sessions as they are only 20 ish minute (compared to 1-2 hours) and come with a limited selection of digital files. And since you’re a busy family, you don’t have to come back to my studio to view your images, instead, you can view, choose, and order from the comfort of your own home.
These sessions are perfect for families who are looking for a quick, fun photo session so that they can fill their own frames with their favourite photos.
During our time together I will get lots of images of the family together, children together, pets playing, and then individual photos of each parents. Scroll down to learn more.
The highlight studio session fee is $150 +hst and includes the following:
- Email questionnaire sent to you beforehand so that I can find out more about your dog and family
- Email helping you prep for your session including wardrobe ideas
- Approx. 30 minute studio photo shoot on Wednesdays
- Occasionally held outside once a quarter. (dates announced via Candra’s email newsletter)
- One 5×7 matted print
- Within 7 days of your session receive a proofing gallery, to view and purchase prints
- Choose between 1 of 3 digital file packages
Highlight Mini Session clients usually invest an average of $995 on their digital file packages and Full Custom Session clients usually invest $1600+ in their finished artwork. There is never a push to buy, you only buy what you love. My pocket sessions offers lots of value for busy moms.

When you see your proofs via an online gallery, you purchase 1 of 3 digital file packages. The portraits you pick are edited to perfection with a fine-toothed come. If there are people, leashes or distracting things in your proof, it will be edited out. I hand edit each image that you love so that you receive a photo that is a piece of art.

Bring your dog to Williamsford (20 min south of Owen Sound) for some outdoor fun! The light is beautiful in the morning and is perfect for dog portraiture.

I am concerned about our wardrobe, what should we wear?
I want everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed in their own skin. Thus I tell families to dress in cloths that feel good. Hehe but try and stay in the same colour tones…you don’t have to be matchy-mathchy. I also recommend avoiding bold & bright patterns & colours. These tend to be very distracting.
To help you prepare and plan your wardrobe, I send you an email with some hints and tips.
My dogs won’t sit still.
Hehe, almost all dogs run around for 90% of the session. And that’s fine with me.
I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve to get your dog to sit still…and then I get my shot. Also, please note your dog will be on leash the whole time and I will edit it out of your imges.
I feel awkward in front of the camera, do you pose?
Short answer is yes, I do pose. I gently guide you, your family into poses so that the photos come out looking beautiful, real, and professional. If you’re looking for a photographer that only does candid photos, I may not be your lady. Also, you have the chose to be in these photos or not…hehe some dog moms want to be in them and some dont. I respect your decision.
How long does it take for me to see the photos and for you to edit the images?
I know you’re excited to see your photos. Thus I work hard to get you your photos quickly.
After your session, you should receive your online gallery within 7 days. At that time you view and choose a digital file package to purchase.
Do I get a USB with my photos?
I used to give USBs to my families. BUT, I found that sometimes the USB became corrupted or lost. Thus, now All photos are delivered to you via an online gallery. You then download them to your computer and/or phone. I recommend downloading them to multiple devices for safe keeping. You are also free to send your photo gallery to family and friends. Hehehe, I bet they will be excited to see them too.

How much is this going to cost?
I am totally upfront with my families. The session fee is $150 and then when you see your proofs you then pick one of three digital files packages.
Are digital files included?
Ah great question. Digital files are not included int the session fee. When you see your proofing gallery you will be able to view your proofs and then purcahse a digital file package. You get to see them before you buy…thus you only buy what you love.
